    Tropical America

Non-linear thinking that encourages the discovery of the relational connections between concepts, people and ideas are at the core I think of what we are discussing; we don’t need technology tools to explore this.

An example is this game or interactive narrative:

Students where given 12 historical lectures (during 1 year) of key moments in the history of Latin America. Students where asked to choose their favorite historical moment, then they where asked to condense the historical period into symbols - characters, objects and places. A representation of these symbols was created. A library of more that 100 symbols was amassed. Students where asked to find “connections” between these symbols, regardless of the historical period. A non-linear historical (subjective and collective) narrative was formed. A game was made.
